The Chattooga County Drug Task Force made an arrest on Thursday evening and found a small quantity of meth and marijuana at a residence on Josh Ward Road. Chattooga County Sheriff John Everett told AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio that investigators were in the area investigating another case and decided to stop by the residence of Ray Womack. Womack, who was on probation, gave the investigators permission to search his residence. Deputies found the small amount of drugs along with the ingredients used for making meth. Sheriff Everett stated that they found propane, Coleman fuel, muriatic acid and other chemicals used in making meth. A clean up crew from Atlanta was called in to help clean up the hazardous material. Womack has been booked into the Chattooga County Jail with charges forthcoming.
