The Summerville News is reporting today that an administrative law judge has re-instated a Hays Prison officer that was fired after the escape of Johnny Mack Brown and Michael Tweedle.

Judge Kimberly W. Schroer agreed with Summerville Attorney Jon  Dennis that Lt. Anthony Black was "only one of the many supervisors that shaped the work environment at Hays State Prison and the court concludes that is likely as (Lt. Black) has argued that he is being used as a ‘scapegoat’ for larger more pervasive problems at Hays."

The Georgia Department of Corrections fired four correctional officers after the escape in October of 2008.  You can learn more about this story in today’s edition of The Summerville News.
