GED classes at Coosa Valley Tech are starting to strain capacity on the three campuses, particularly in Calhoun. Susan Hackney, Vice President for Adult Education at the Technical College says she’s had to add space and staff in Calhoun.   Hackney says there is no timetable for students to complete their GED, adding, “We meet them where they are”.  She did say that the GED test was no pushover and estimated that 45-50% of high school seniors couldn’t pass it on the first try.
