Chattooga County 4H District Project Achievement winners at Rock Eagle this past weekend with 20 out of 22 participants placed at the contest with several winners on the senior and junior levels. Seniors are grades 9-12 and juniors are 7th and 8th graders. Chattooga County 4H also had three members win spots on the 4H NW District Senior Board. They are Matthew Daniel and Matthew Pace of Chattooga High School and Devin Baker of Trion High. Garrett Salmon and Amber Uptain both of Lyerly School won election to the 4H NW District Junior Board. Overall, Chattooga County 4H had five of its members get a trip to 4H State Congress this July. They are Devin Baker(THS) in Public Speaking, Matthew Daniel(CHS) in History, Alleigha Dennis(CHS) in Work Force Preparation, Nicky Mann(CHS) in Performing Arts Instrumental, and Will Turner(CHS) in Conservation. These five will compete July 21-24 in Atlanta at the 4H State Congress. For a more winners you can contact Rebecca Thomas at the Extension office.
