Foster care is a state program that provides temporary substitute homes for children whose families cannot provide a safe and nurturing environment for them. It is one of the many programs administered by the Georgia Department of Human Resources’ Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS).

Foster parents play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, permanency, and well-being of children in their care.

Local foster parents in Chattooga County will be honored at the DFCS Board of Directors Meeting tomorrow morning at 10 AM.  The DFCS Board Meeting will take place at the Chattooga County Civic Center.
