There will be two separate public meetings tommorrow evening as local governmental officials hold public hearings seeking money in the form of grants for improvement projects in Chattooga County.
The first meeting will be held by the City of Summerville at the Fairway Recreation Center. The city is applying for a $500,000 grant for the Fairway / Highland Ave. area of Summerville. The grant is to be used for community improvement projects in the area. That meeting gets underway at 5:30 PM.
The second meeting on Tuesday evening is being held by Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters. That meeting is for residents of Stateline Road and Gilreath Mill Road at Cloudland. Winters announced last week that the county is seeking grant money for extension of county water in the Cloudland area. The meeting will be held at 6:30 PM at the Cloudland Presbyterian Church located just off of Highway 157 at Cloudland.
