Local officials are keeping an eye on the weather situation. The National Weather Service says that a strong low pressure system is moving across Georgia and will continue to produce rain today and tomorrow.
Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters told AM 1180 late on Sunday evening that county officials are watching the weather situation and monitoring conditions in the county for possible flooding. Chattooga County EMA Director Eddie Henderson said that residents should keep a close eye on the weather for the next 24-36 hours.
But there’s more….forecasters say that the weather will turn colder and we could see snow showers by Tuesday evening.
