Lyerly Down Home Day will be tommorow, Saturday September 27th beginning at 9 a.m. The citizens of Lyerly would like to invite everyone to help celebrate the 117th birthday of the town. Thanks to the generous donations of Chattooga County merchants, door prizes given away every hour. There will be entertainment throughout the day including Terry Teems and Voices of Hope gospel group, Georgia Mountain Music Club, Western Promenaders, bluegrass music, Alexx Westbrooks singing, Untamed Fire gospel group and Lyerly Pentecostal Tabernacle Church. Among other attractions the Walker County fire simulator, jumping balloons, a petting zoo, free child fingerprinting, face painting, cow patty bingo and horse and buggy rides from 9-12.
