Chattooga County Public Works director Lamar Canada told AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio on Friday that county work crews would be moving the dumpsters from the Pure Stop in Lyerly to the former location on Lyerly Dam Bridge Road.
The dumpsters were moved earlier this year when the bridge was closed in Lyerly to provide better access to the majority of users while the bridge was being repaired. The bridge was re-opened on Wednesday of this week.
Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters said that the county has saved a good deal of money by repairing the bridge. In fact it is estimated that the repaired bridge will last for the next 10-15 years.
