Qualifying for Lyerly City Elections were held and the voters in Lyerly will go to the polls November 3rd to vote on several contested races.

Deborah Jones, a current town councilwoman has qualified to run for Mayor an dwill be facing off against Jessica Wyatt Eller.

Those who qualified for council positions were : Connie Short, Robert Thompson, Jr., William Thompson, Joshua Wyatt and Ellen Wyatt.

Voters will elect five council members in the election.
