The three officers of the Lyerly Recreation Department all resigned at this week’s meeting of the Lyerly Town Council.
Caroline Green, Recreation Department Director addressed the council. She thanked the council for giving her the chance to be director, and thanked the other volunteers who kept the Recreation Department running to present. She stated that a letter would be read detailing her resignation. She also stated that she would be stepping down to allow her to focus on her own child. Denise Jones read the letter of resignation for Caroline Green (director), herself (Personnel Coordinator) and Angie White (Treasurer). They turned over all duties and responsibilities of the Lyerly Recreation Department to the Town of Lyerly, and wished the town success in their venture.
The treasurer of the Lyerly Recreation Department closed out the treasurer’s account and presented a check to the Town of Lyerly for $7,182.05.
