At last weeks Lyerly Town Council meeting the council members voted to table a request by a businessman to construct a laundromat in the town until drawings of the building can be reviewed.

Tony Patel had approached the council at the work session earlier this month seeking permission to build a laundromat behind his convenience store.  Some council members have expressed concerns about the town’s sewer system being able to handle the extra waste water from the laundromat.

Mr. Patel told council members that he could provide drawings of the building he would like to build within a couple of weeks.
