An adult white male was airlifted for treatment following a bicycle crash on Berry College’s mountain campus on Monday.

According to Officer Ryan Chesley of the Berry College Police, the unidentified individual sustained a head injury but was alert before the helicopter took off. He said EMS workers thought it best the man be transported via air to be on the safe side. He said the man, who was a visitor to the campus, was sent to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.

The helipcopter landed on the soccer field near the main entrance to the mountain campus.
