A Chattooga County man is in jail on charges of Child Molestation and Sexual Battery of a Child under the age of 16, and his wife is accused of trying to manipulate the witness in the incident. Investigator Kandy Dodd with the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department told The Summerville News over the weekend that 30 year old William Howard Cross was arrested for the incident that was believed to have happened in April of this year and involved a 4 year old child.  The man’s wife, 25 year Jaime Lee Cross is accused of attempting to get the child to change their story. The child told investigators that they were told to lie about the incident.  Jamie Lee Cross had told investigators that the child had recanted their story and was mad about a whipping that they had received, but the child told a different story to investigators.
