A superseding indictment filed in U.S. District Court in Rome, alleges a Floyd County man, offered another man $1,200 and a quantity of drugs to kill several people he referred to as `snitches.` 

Dwight Herschel Green was arraigned in May of 2009 in federal court on firearms charges – and a recent superseding indictment, added an additional racketeering charge – for allegedly soliciting the contract killing of a number of people in both Alabama and Georgia.

Green was originally arrested in Cedar Bluff and was charged in Alabama however the Murder for Hire case was eventually transferred to the federal court in Rome – and, during the interim, Federal Firearms charges were filed.
