A 47 YEAR OLD ROSSVILLE MAN WAS KILLED EARLY THURSDAY MORNING WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ELUDE SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES. ALAN "GREG" BOARD LOST CONTROL OF HIS HARLEY MOTORCYCLE IN A CURVE ON HIGHWAY 193… JUST SOUTH OF THE TENNESSEE STATE LINE. THE CYCLE OVERTURNED AND HIT A STOP SIGN, EJECTING THE RIDER. BOARD WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE.
THE WALKER COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE INCIDENT STARTED WITH A 9-1-1 CALL FROM THE MAN’S EX-WIFE… SAYING HE HAD TRIED TO BREAK INTO HER RESIDENCE AT FLINTSTONE. A CHASE ENSUED… TRAVELING NORTH INTO CHATTANOOGA AND BACK INTO GEORGIA… WHERE THE FATAL WRECK OCCURED AROUND 4 AM.
