A Rome man remained at the Floyd County Jail this morning on a misdemeanor theft charge after he was alleged to have taken cash from the West Rome Walmart, warrants stated.
According to warrants at the Floyd County Jail:
Otis David Laird, 22, of 205 Dodd Blvd., was jailed on a misdemeanor theft by taking charge after a warrant alleged he took $220 from his cash register while working at the West Rome Walmart on Redmond Circle between April 27 and May 8, 2010.
Laird was being held on a $1,350 property bond after being arrested by Sheriff’s deputies on the warrant Friday at 6:45 p.m.
