The City of Menlo has appointed a new city councilman to take the seat of Virgina Tucker who resigned from the position due to health concerns.

At Tuesday evening’s council meeting the council appointed John Vanhorn to fill the seat.  Vanhorn will be sworn in during the October meeting of the Menlo City Council.

The Council also appointed Jim Henry to represent the town on the Chattooga County Development Authority and Bill Kinszy to represent the town on the Chattooga County Library Board.
