According to information provided by Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Wednesday at approximately 8:00pm, members of the Cherokee County Sheriff`s Office Narcotics Unit, with Sheriffs Deputies, conducted a search at Fast Motor Sports, at 1118 West Main Street in Centre – there, authorities discovered a functional methamphetamine lab that had produced crystal methamphetamine.

Arrested at the scene was the business owner/operator – 29 year old Sand Rock resident, Seth Adam Burt – who is charged with the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances (Methamphetamine) and Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree.

Agents with the Sheriffs Office Narcotics Unit, and Deputies, remained on the scene for approximately 4 hours conducting the search and collecting evidence.

Burt was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Facility, where he’ll be detained, pending a bond hearing.
