Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters told AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio on Tuesday that he plans to keep the millage rate at the same rate as last year, which means no property tax increase for Chattooga County residents.

Winters said more information would be available later this week regarding the millage rate and the expected short fall in the county budget.  Winters said that the county will see a loss in revenue to the tune of around $360,000 but that he planned to deal with the shortfall by trimming the county’s expenses.
