A man from Floyd County that had travelled to the Gore area over the weekend to do some deer hunting went missing for some time.

The unidentified man who was in his 30’s dropped some fellow hunters off early Saturday morning and told them they would meet back up that evening.  The man never showed up at the appointed time and by midnight Saturday the search was on for the missing hunter.

The search centered around Jenkins Gap Road and included the Chattooga County Sheriffs Department, the Department of Natural Recourses and the Gore Fire Department.

The missing hunter was found early Sunday morning, apparently with no injuries.
