Chattooga County Tax Commissioner Kathy V. Brown reminds all mobile home owners that the 2009 Mobile Homes Taxes must be paid by May 1 to avoid additional interest and penalties.

Any mobile home whether used for storage, underpinned or not underpinned, tires on or off, tongue on or off, rented out, vacant or homesteaded requires a yearly permit be purchased to show taxes are paid.
