If you want to vote in the July Primary elections, and you are not already registered to vote hou have until Monday, June 21st to register.  Primary Elections will be held in Chattooga County and across the state of Georgia on July 20th this year.  Voters will choose between a Republican and Democratic ballot in the primary elections.

This year there are no Chattooga County races on the Republican ballot as all of the people that are running for the school board are on the Democratic ticket.  However, the race for State Senate will be on the Republican ticket.  Incumbent State Senator Jeff Mullis is facing opposition from two fellow-Republicans.  There is no Democratic candidate for State Senate.

To register to vote, you can go by the Chattooga County registrar’s office located next to the courthouse in the old McGinnis Drug Store building on Commerce Street in Summerville.  Also, advanced voting is underway at the same location.
