Georgia still has more than $4 million in stimulus money to hand out for the Cash for Appliances Program. 

 

At this rate, the state should have stimulus funds for about four more months. 

 

 

Back in February when the Cash for Appliances Program started, Energy Star had a great reputation.

But then government auditors revealed the results of an undercover investigation — Energy Star approved a dozen products for the Energy Star label. The problem? Those products didn’t really exist. One was a gasoline powered alarm clock.
