Marvin’s Building Materials is still planning to have their new store in Summerville open by the end of July or first of August.

Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters told AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio on Monday that plans for the new store continue to go on schedule and that there are a lot of Chattooga County residents that have applied for the 25 positions that will be available.  According to Commissioner Winters more than 1,000 people applied for the 25 jobs.

Winters said that "shows the real need for jobs in the county."
