According to the Georgia Secretary of State the number of registered voters in the state has risen 7% in the last year and 9% since the presidential contest. State officials say Georgia has added 210,441 voters since February.
That trend holds true in Chattooga County as well. The local registrar’s office is reporting at least 200 new voters have registered in time for the July 15th Primary election in Chattooga County.
With important offices like county commissioner, tax commissioner and sheriff on the ballot the upcoming election will be crucial election in Chattooga County. AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio urges all registered voters to get out and vote on July 15th or vote early at the Old McGinnis Drug Store Building in Summerville next to the court house.
