Police arrested a Cobb County man after a chase when the suspect hit 170 mph on his motorcycle in Catoosa County.
Jermaine Strickland, 37, of Powder Springs and another motorcyclist were spotted speeding in Gordon County, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
When officers tried to pull them over, the riders took off.
A GSP trooper chased Strickland into Catoosa County, where video from a dashboard camera showed him almost crashing. Strickland then pulled over and was arrested. The second motorcyclist escaped.
Police charged Strickland with failure to obey a traffic control device, driving without a license, unsafe operation of a motorcycle, no proof of insurance, improper passing, driving on the wrong side of the road, attempting to elude a police officer, speeding using all lanes while fleeing, reckless driving and improper lane change.
