A motorcyclist was killed Monday afternoon around 4:40pm on Perry Road in Armuchee after colliding with a truck.

The wreck occurred at a time when Emergency Units were already strecthed thin due to several other accidents and medical related calls around the County.

According to initial reports, the motorcyclist was not breathing and did not have a pulse. Reports also indicate that the victim’s helmet was heavily damaged.

Firefighters quickly began CPR upon their arrival, but they were not able to revive the victim.

According to deputy coroner Gene Proctor the man was killed instantly due to multiple blunt force trauma.

The victim has been identified but officials are withholding his name until the family can be notified
