State Senator Jeff Mullis, a Republican from Chickamauga, has been named one of the most influential Georgian’s by James Magazine.  James Magazine is a publication that focus’s on lawmakers and issues around the state capital.  Mullis has been seen as a favorite of Governor Sonny Perdue and is being praised by Lt. Governor Casey Cagle.  Cagle stated that Mullis has been a key figure in solving problems in state transportation issues.  Mullis was elected to the state senate in 2000 and is running for re-election, seeking his fourth term.  He is being opposed by Democrat Bruce Coker of Lafayette.
