State Republican Sen. Jeff Mullis of Chickamuga will co-author legislation that will provide for greater enforcement of federal illegal immigration laws in Georgia.

Mullis is the state Senate transportation chairman.

He will join fellow Georgia Senate GOP colleagues later this summer for the official announcement of the legislation.

Mullis is currently seeking his party’s nomination for another term as State Senator to represent Georgia’s 53rd District which is Chattooga, Walker, Dade and part of Catoosa County.  Primary elections will be held next week on July 20th.
