The Georgia Supreme court has refused to overturn the murder conviction of Chattooga County native John Alexander. Alexander was found guilty of murder in the death of Alfred Henderson. The murder took place in February of 2002 at the Bi-Lo Parking lot in Summerville.
Alexander is currently serving life in prison at the Washington State Prison in Washington County, Georgia. He was convicted of murder, assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Alexander has been in prison since October of 2002.
