Local organizers are hoping for clear skies this evening for the National Day of Prayer event that will be held in Chattooga County.  The Chattooga County Ministirial Association has plans for a service at the Chattooga High School Football field this evening at 6 PM, and are encouraging the public to come out for the National Day of Prayer.

Also there is another activity planned for Saturday at 1 PM.  Organizers are having a "Prayer Walk" that day that will begin at Dowdy Park and go to the Chattooga County Courthouse where Bishop V.T. Hardin will speak.

In case of rain this evening, the National Day of Prayer event will be moved to the Summerville First Baptist Church.
