The Rome Building Inspection office has approved a soil disturbance permit application for a proposed medical office building which may be the home for a long awaited Cancer Center to serve Northwest Georgia.
Drawings for the project were submitted to the Zoning Board of Adjustment for review is association with a couple of variances that have been approved. An Atlanta architectural firm submitted the formal request which was approved unanimously by the Board of Adjustment.
The variances involve the depth of the landscape buffer from 2nd Avenue and the height of the building which will be allowed to go up to 60 feet. That would easily accommodate a three story building. WRGA
