A new date for the murder trial of former LaFayette City policeman Sam Parker has been set.  The former cop is charged in the death of his estranged wife, Theresa who worked for Walker County 911.  The murder is believed to have taken place two years ago. Parker will be tried for murder in Walker County Superior Court, beginning August 17^th.  The jury for the trial will come from Bartow County because of the publicity surrounding the case.  Jury selection for the trial is set to begin August 10^th.   There is a pre-trial motions hearing that will take place in the case on July 13^th. 

The body of Theresa Parker has never been found.
