Heavy thunderstorms rolled through Chattooga County yesterday afternoon but there was no major damage to report. According to Chattooga County 911, there were some reports of downed trees but no structural damage in the county. AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio began receiving warnings from the National Weather Service in Peachtree City at 4:20 yesterday afternoon and those warnings continued until around 7:00 P.M. Strong winds and heavy rains along with frequent lightning were reported throughout the tri-state area as a cold front pushed its way through Alabama into Northwest Georgia.
