A not for profit federally funded health care provider is seeking input from Chattooga County residents about the possibility of opening a health care center in the county. Primary Health Care Center has identified Chattooga County as a place where quality, affordable health care services are needed due to the high unemployment rate, the poverty level and the distance to health care facilities. The organization has obtained federal funding for a planning grant to open a center in Chattooga County and has a planning meeting scheduled for Tuesday, October 27th at the Chattooga County Civic Center at 6 PM. Be listening to AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio next week for more information and a NEWSMAKERS Interview program regarding the organization and the upcoming meeting.
