The 14th Annual Northwest Georgia Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 31 on Broad Street in Rome, Georgia. Come out and see General George Washington and soldiers in the uniforms of the armed forces from the Revolution to the present. The parade will end at historic Myrtle Hill cemetery where a memorial service will be held, with music from the 8th Regiment Band. There will also be displays and living history demonstrations from 10am until 5pm at Southeastern Mills at the corner of Broad St. and 1st Avenue. Organziers are asking the public to please come out to honor and remember the men and women of our armed forces who have died while serving our nation and also show your appreciation to the families they left behind.
