Polk County cattleman Bill Nutt was installed as the state president of the Georgia Cattlemen’s Association at their annual convention in Perry on Saturday, April 4.
Nutt has been actively involved in agriculture from his early years. He currently raises Red Angus and Red Simmental cross cattle at JanBil Farms in Cedartown where his wife, Janet, also produces specialty cut flowers.
Bill has been a leader in raising beef cattle in Polk County by continuously improving his herd, encouraging 4-H and FFA involvement with farm field days, and promoting beef whenever possible.
He plans to continue to support the Polk Cattlemen’s Association after serving as president for nine years while taking on statewide duties.
