The Oboma Presidential Campaign is coming to Chattooga County.  Tim Shifflett, chairman of the Chattooga County Democratic Party told AM 1180 Chattooga Radio News that the national campaign of Barak Obama is sending a representative of the campaign to Chattooga County for Monday nights meeting of the Chattooga County Democratic Party.  Shifflett stated that this was the first time in his memory that a representative of a national Presidetial campaign has visited Chattooga County.

The Obama Campaign has it’s eyes set on winning the state in November.  Part of the strategy of the Democrats campaign to win the electoral votes in Georgia this fall is an increase in voter registration among African-Americans.  In the Democratic Presidential Primary earlier this year Hillary Clinton won all precincts in Chattooga County.
