Sheriff Ralph Kellett reports a call came in at 5:12 PM Wendesday, August 27, 2008 to Chattooga County 911.  Caller stated that a neighbor across the street had shot and killed himself.  Officers arrived and found a white male in the back yard of 1390 Mitchell Circle.  A note was found indicating that he had taken his own life and had information in the death of another person.  A search of the area around the residence led to the discovery of an unidentified white male.  The body was located some 200-250 yards away from the residence in a pond, apparently with a gunshot wound to the head.  The unidentified male has been sent to the GBI crime lab in Atlanta for an autopsy and identification.  Assisting in the investigation was an agent from the GBI and Hays State Prison Canine and Gore Fire Rescue Department.
