Chattooga County Democrats are expecting around 150 people for the annual Jefferson-Jackson Dinner that will be held this evening at Pop’s Restaurant in Summerville.  Former Governor Roy Barnes is seeking the Democratic nomination for governor and will address the crowd at 6 PM.

This morning State Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine will address local Republicans as the Chattooga County Republican Party holds their monthly meeting also at Pop’s Restaurant.  Brad Hayes, Chattooga County Republican Party Chariman, told AM 1180 that Oxendine would be taking questions after addressing the group.
