Paradise Gardens in the Pennville Community will be the site of a Finster Fest this weekend as more than 75 artists from around the country will gather to celebrate the famed Summerville artist, Rev. Howard Finster. Finster’s work can be found in museums around the world and was famous far beyond Chattooga County. Finster began “Paradise Gardens” in 1961. For many years the property had gone down hill; however, a non-profit group has taken over the property and is working to restore and repair it. During Finster Fest this weekend, artists will be selling their work between 10 AM and 6 PM Saturday and Sunday and there will be live music during the event.
