The total projected cost for the Town of Trion to purchase the Park Avenue Apartments that were damaged during the September Flood of 2009 will top $3 Million.

Of that $3 Million, the Town of Trion’s share will be $456,336 while the Federal government will pick up the tab for the major share at $2,281,673 and the State of Georgia will spend $304,223.

The acquisition costs for the apartments is estimated at $1.1 Million and there is $432,000 that would be spent for asbestos removal.  Property clearing is expected to cost $317,390.
