THE JURY SEEMS TO HAVE MADE A LITTLE HEAD-WAY IN THE THIRD DAY OF DELIBERATION ON SAM PARKER’S MURDER CHARGE. WHEN CALLED-IN BY THE JUDGE AT 3 PM WEDNESDAY, THE VOTE-COUNT REPORTED WAS THE SAME AS AT THE END OF THE PREVIOUS DAY’S DELIBERATION… 8 TO 4. BUT JUST BEFORE LEAVING FOR THE DAY WEDNESDAY, THE JURY FOREMAN REPORTED THE VOTE HAD NARROWED TO 9 AND 3. AT THE JUDGE’S URGING, THEY ARE STILL NOT REVEALING WHICH WAY THE VOTE IS LEANING, TOWARD CONVICTION OR ACQUITAL ON THE MURDER CHARGE.
PARKER IS ACCUSED OF KILLING HIS ESTRANGED WIFE THERESA, IN THE MIDST OF A DIVORCE MORE THAN TWO YEARS AGO. THE JURY BEGAN DELIBERATING THE FOUR CHARGES AGAINST PARKER AT AROUND 3:30 MONDAY AFTERNOON. ON THE THREE LESSER CHARGES AGAINST PARKER, THE JURY HAS REPORTEDLY REACHED A UNANIMOUS DECISION – BUT AGAIN, HAS NOT REVEALED WHETHER THAT’S A "GUILTY" OR "INNOCENT" VERDICT.
