A HEARING WAS HELD IN THE SAM PARKER MURDER TRAIL FRIDAY MORNING IN WALKER COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT. JUDGE BO WOOD DENIED A DEFENSE MOTION TO DISMISS THE CASE BECAUSE OF INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE. THE NEXT HEARING WILL BE MAY 15th, WHEN A REQUEST FOR CHANGE OF VENUE WILL BE HEARD. TRIAL SHOULD BEGIN IN JUNE. PARKER IS ACCUSED OF MURDER IN THE DISAPPEARANCE OF HIS WIFE, THERESA PARKER. SHE HAS BEEN MISSING FOR OVER TWO YEARS – AND THOUGH PRESUMED DEAD, NO ONE HAS DISCOVERED HER BODY. DISTRICT ATTORNEY LEAH PATTERSON ASK FOR, AND RECEIVED, PERMISSION TO OBTAIN "KEY WITNESS" TESTIMONY FROM ONE OF THE PARKER’S NEIGHBORS – BY VIDEO DEPOSITION. THE WOMAN IS TOO FRAIL TO APPEAR IN COURT, ACCORDING TO HER DOCTOR’S TESTIMONY FRIDAY.
