The Northbound lanes of Highway 27 were shut down last night in the Armuchee area for about an hour after a pedestrian was struck and killed around 9:45 last night.

The pedestrian was hit in the area of the Armuchee Church of God attempting to cross the Northbound lanes.  Emergency personell from Redmond EMS pronounced the unidentified victim dead on the scene.
