There are seven republicans and seven democrats in the race for Georgia Governor. This is the largest election the state has seen in many years. Other than the race for Governor, there are contested primaries on July 20 for U.S. Senate (Democrat), lieutenant governor (D), attorney general (both parties), state school superintendent (both), agriculture commissioner (Republican), labor commissioner (both) and Public Service Commission (R). On the local level, there are 6 candidates vying for 3 Chattooga County Board of Education seats. There are only 50 days left until the primary election July 20th.
