Sam Parker’s public defender argued Wednesday that testimony from two Walker County deputies should not be allowed in Parker’s murder trial because they "searched" his residence – and did so without a warrant. The argument was part to the pretrial motion hearings going on this week. Just what evidence the Bartow County jury that hears the case next month will get to hear is being determined this week at the Walker County Courthouse. The former city of LaFayette Police Sergeant is accused of murdering his wife, Theresa, two years ago. Mrs. Parker’s body has never been found. Judge Bo Wood of the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit will decide later this week just what evidence will be admitted for trial.WQCH / Walker County Messenger
