…The Summerville Recreation Department Haunted House has put fear in the hearts of many for the past 6 years. The haunted house is open on Halloween night only from 6 to 9 p.m. and is an endeavor of Recreation Department Employees and volunteers from made up of city officials, fire department and police department employees.

With strobe lights, a forest, fortune teller, prerequisite coffin and clowns, the Haunted house is located at the Recreation Department at 200 Highway 100. The free admission will allow those unable to pay the admission fees required at other haunted houses to experience the thrill and chill of it all.

According to Summerville Police Chief Stan Mosely, one of the volunteers that has put a total of more than 30 hours into the project, a couple thousand visit the haunted house each year. Keep in mind that small children should not attend and it’s pretty much for youngsters ages 10 to 12, depending on their maturity level, and older.

Once again Haunted House hours are 6-9 p.m. Monday, Halloween night at the Summerville Recreation Department, 200 Highway 100 in Summerville
