If you are a Chattooga County property owner and you haven’t paid your 2019 taxes, you need to remember that the deadline to get those paid is coming up in just 11 days.

Tax Commissioner Joy Hampton said that notices were sent out in September this year and some people may have put the bills to the side.  Hampton said that to avoid penalties and interest, property owners will need to get those taxes paid on or before December 1st.

You can pay your property taxes in person at the Tax Commissioner’s Office located in the Courthouse Annex at the corner of Cox Street and East Washington Street in Summerville. Office hours are 8:30 AM – 5 PM, Monday – Friday.
